Rahm Emanuel

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel "resided" at 4228 North Hermitage Avenue even during the period that he lived in Washington, D.C. and served as White House Chief of Staff for President Barack H. Obama - a period that extended from the inauguration on January 20, 2009, until his resignation on October 1, 2010.  He resigned as a congressman in the Illinois Fifth Congressional District to accept the position with President Obama.  He had served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009.  Earlier in his career he directed Governor Bill Clinton's finance committee during the 1992 presidential campaign, and he served as a senior White House policy advisor for Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1998.  When the Democrats gained control of the House in 2006, Emanuel was the fourth-ranking House Democrat.  He was born and raised in Chicago and was elected mayor on February 22, 2011.
