History in Hermosa

John Dillinger, along with close friend and fellow gang member Homer Van Meter, underwent plastic surgery at the home of bar owner Jimmy Probasco at 2509 North Pulaski Road.  They spent the next month at the house recovering, according to an FBI timeline.  To help conceal his identity, Dillinger "opted for the full face and fingertip overhaul at a cost of $5,000."
