History in Kilbourn Park

Sabatino's is about as "old school" as it gets, from the food to the décor to the hosts: Classic, family-style Italian dishes, some prepared at the table, for devoted clientele.  The restaurant is believed to have opened in 1969, although it was not acquired by its current owners, Angelo and Enzo Pagni, until 1978.  Angelo and Enzo emigrated directly to Chicago from their native Genoa, Italy, in 1966 and first found work at Italian Village.  Today, their restaurant is an historic part of the neighborhood.
